Again, another successful day. We woke up and were out the door by 8 am, grabbed bagels for breakfast (yum, so good here) and jumped on the subway towards Battery Park. We spent the morning on Liberty Island, which was new for me – last time I was here I went to Ellis Island, but did not have time for Liberty Island and the state of liberty! We also went to the 9/11 memorial which was interesting – the last time I was here was 4 years ago and honestly, it doesn’t look a whole lot different – I know it’s a slow and gradual process, but 4 years…wow.
Anyway, the rest of the group is coming in tonight, agency visits begin tomorrow, etc.
