I step away from blogging for a day or two and I feel like I have about a million things to talk about!
This week I began my second COLAB rotation at Anvil. It’s been great thus far – I’ve learned so much…which I suppose is good, seeing as I knew little to nothing about SEO and SEM before this experience!! I am still trying to figure out how I was matched up with these internet/technology based agencies – maybe it’s because I had a blog prior to COLAB, so it was assumed I’m one with technology? Not sure, but either way, I’m really grateful for this experience because this is all stuff I want/need to know, and what better way than to have hands on experience with the experts. Especially because I’m taking on the awareness campaign for NVC 2009, everything I’ve learned thus far at eROI and now Anvil is going to be so ridiculously beneficial in our research (not to mention all these amazing entrepreneurs I am meeting up here in PDX)!!
Anyway, long story short – everyone at Anvil has been great – Kent and Hallie and everyone else has been awesome and welcoming, resourceful, etc. Not only them, but it seems to be a consensus from all the interns that all the agencies have been bending over backwards in order to accommodate us and make sure each of us is getting the absolute most of our experiences!
Anyway, side note – the other day, Kent received a Seth Godin action figure as a gift from a client. I was freaking excited about this because if any of you regularly read my blog, you will see Seth Godin frequently mentioned/quoted/etc. Anyway, turns out Kent and Seth are friends -more proof for my statement that everyone knows everyone in this industry!
What else? Oh! I finally had my brandbook printed and I’ve posted a few pictures (better quality pics to come). This is my rough draft/first attempt, so any suggestions/changes/etc., you should let me know!!
I took a nice walk around the neighborhood the other night – again I am so impressed with what Pland has to offer. Here are a few photos I snapped:
Up around 21st:
City lights!!! I got lucky in that I can see them from my room!
Kiwis at work!
Another Portland first: Voodoo Donuts! (thank you, Christine!)
A day in Salem – the Art Fair is a must:
