Austin is indeed a terrific place. I teach at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX, which is about 50 miles from Austin. Today it’s 104°F so expect high heat. Grew up in NC. Visit there when you have an opportunity. If you like Portland and Austin i’m sure you will like Asheville.
