Apparently, Austin has a tradition that involves Barton Springs + the full moon.
Each full moon, Austinites crowd into Barton Springs Pool (a natural spring turned pool, p.s.) at 9 pm, when the pool becomes free, to 10 pm, when the pool closes, for the Barton Springs Full Moon Night Swim!
Of course this was something I had to check out – what a spectacle it was. People from all walks of life were there: families, millenials, older couples, pot smokers, sorority sisters, friends…you name in and they were there! What a crazy/awesome tradition!!
