One of the MANY amazing tacos here in Austin. This one is from Torchy’s Tacos and it is soooo freaking good. I think this one is called “The Democrat”
Lake Austin
First shuffle board experience here in Austin:
Amazing food carts, per usual:
I made some stuffed peppers. Def. not as good as my dad’s, but I’m working on it!
Who the hell throws away books? At least recycle them! (or take them to a library…school…anywhere…) Don’t worry, I rescued them.
This is just funny to me. I found this down on Red River:
Carrots!! This is like a little mini community garden I found while walking on the trail!!! Anywhere else and I feel like this garden would be destroyed. But not here (=
My little garden. Trying to decide if it’s cute or pathetic? (; I’ve got flowers, cilantro and basil!
Austin-style hippie cactus:
Barton Springs!
Trailer Park Eatery on S. 1st. one of the best parts? It’s BYOB. We were sitting there drinking sangria, when the guy brought us our food. This is how the conversation went:
Guy: What are y’all drinking?
Us: Sangria.
Guy: Dude, y’all are badass!!
…reason #459 for why I love Austin. (=
My dinner to accompany the sangria. I chose to sample from the hotdog cart this round (= I don’t even like hotdogs, BUT…
My “Big Fat Greek Hotdog”. Think of a gyro in hotdog form. Delicious, right?!
