Man, I never used to blog about my day to day activities. Perhaps bc it’s when I was back home, people more or less knew what I was up to…now not so much. Hmm. Not sure. Whatev. Check it out.
A few things I’ve been up to the last week or so:
Mean Eyed Cat. I really do enjoy this bar. Great ambiance. and of course the whole Johnny Cash themed bar is pretty sweet (=
Mi casa! The point of this picture is to really show off my new BLUE patio chairs. And my mini garden. I do enjoy my pseudo patio garden.
Saw some live music:
Fought a biker for road space:
Had far too many cords / just technology in general on my desk at work. WTF did people do 10 years ago without all of this madness?
BBQ this weekend! It was funny – at the BBQ, there were more Oregonians than Texas. Funny part 2, there is only 1 Oregonian in this particular picture (=
More live music, downtown Austin:
Old Pecan Street Fair!! The largest craft fair in Central Texas:
Oh and don’t worry, there were THREE gyro stands there! Here’s #1:
#2:
#3:
I got a gyro from Greek food both #3:
I’ve been swimming. It’s crazy to me that at this time of year it’s mid 80s to 90s. I really do love this weather – beats gray skies any day; however…it’s barely May!! I’m ok with that tho – don’t mind spending a Sunday afternoon by the pool (=
What else? Umm. I think it’s weird that I’ve been in Austin for almost a year?! WTF right? I also think at this point last year I had no idea I’d be moving to Texas. In fact, at this time last year, I was in NYC attending the One Show and presenting to agencies. In the words of Jamie Cullum (or I guess Dinah Washington), ‘What a difference a day makes.” …well ain’t that the truth! (;
Oh, and I feel like I almost belong in Austin and live here for real now. I say that because when I first got here, I really didn’t know anyone, so I could go anywhere and nobody would know me. Well, in the last month, I’ve run into 2 people I know at random places, which kinda weirded me out at first, not going to lie. However, it is what it is. I suppose it isn’t so bad. …I also suppose I should go to bed soon – it’s 3:40 AM, per usual, I guess sleeping isn’t on the menu tonight. …or any night for that matter. UGH! (=

Kim, I like what you do with your week. That bar looks great, I would like to go there. I neeeeeeed to come visit you.
One other thing, SHARE THE ROAD
I would love if you came to visit! (= And yes, I did share the road. (wasn’t happy about it though (; ) All I’m saying is the combo of the bright blinding sunshine and lower riders like this guy = a bad combo! (;
